Our Mission
The mission of Project Homeless Connect Buffalo is to fuse political and civic will in a one-day, one-stop array of resources which focuses on immediacy, hospitality, and results for homeless neighbors.
Brief History
According to the Homeless Alliance of Western New York’s 2017 Homelessness Summary – Erie County over 5,800 people in Erie County experienced the traumatic instability that results from losing housing last year.
In an attempt to begin to collectively address homelessness in the Queen City the Western New York Coalition for the Homeless adopted the national best practice model Project Homeless Connect in 2009.
Since the first event in 2009, Project Homeless Connect Buffalo has connected over 4,000 homeless and at-risk individuals with thousands of free services, distributed more than 15,000 personal care items.
Project Homeless Connect Buffalo is held at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center in Downtown Buffalo, New York. The event would not be possible without the gracious help of our sponsors.
